Objective

The purpose of this project was to create a device that can monitor an area, analyze situations using machine vision and machine learning, and record and report certain types of activity. This could be used in a wide variety of circumstances, but our focus was to design it for implementation as a traffic monitoring device.

The concept was to deploy these devices alongside roads. They can continuously monitor the road using optical and audio sensors. If it saw a car wreck, it would record the event and send an alert to the proper authorities.
